Day #1 Sofia

Breakfast. Morning sightseeing in Sofia - city with more than 7000 years of dramatic history. Part of the tour are visits to the magnificent Alexander Nevsky cathedral - one of Sofia symbols, Saint Sofia church combined with the necropolis museum located in the vault under the church, the Russian church, the ruins of Serdica, the statue of Sofia along more. Special visit to the museum dedicated to the history of Sofia is planned. Lunch in local restaurant. Visit to Boyana church - the frescoes of the church date back to the 13th century. They have high artistic value and are a vital contribution to the European art culture. The church was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. Next stop is the nealry located History museum. Exhibition made from more than 10'000 artifact will guide you through the compelling history of our country. Returning to the city . the rest of the day is at leisure giving you the perfect opportunity to explore contemporary Sofia on your own. Delicious dinner an traditional restaurant accompanied with folklore program will put an end to this lovely day. Overnight in Sofia.

Day #2 Sofia - Veliko Tarnovo - Arbanassi - Veliko Tarnovo

Following breakfast the group will head to Veliko Tarnovo, famous as the historical capital of The Second Bulgarian Empire. Lunch in a local restaurant. Following lunch you will engage on an adventure through the ages with visit to the amazingly preserved "Tsarevets fortress", the world famous Samovodska street along many more interesting sights. The tour will end with visitation to the splendid Wax museum located in the heart of the city. Transfer to ethnographic complex "Arbanassi" where the traditional architecture from thr National Revival period is preserved. Returning to Veliko Tarnovo. Dinner and overnight in Veliko Tarnovo.

Day #3 Veliko Tarnovo - Kazanlak - Plovdiv

Delicioud breakfast in the morning. Transfer to Kazanlak - known as the Rose capital of Bulgaria. Dive deep into the famous Rose valley. Visit to the Rose museum will inform you about our traditions in the rose oil distillation and production. The Thracian tomb discovered in the city is next on the itinerary. Lunch in a local restaurant in Kazanlak. Later you will continue to Plovdiv. - the second largest city in Bulgaria, famous for its ancient and diverse culture and millennial history. You will take an afternoon sightseeing tour of the city. While touring you will visit the Old Town, the ancnient theatre, the Roman stadium, the church Saint Constantine and Helena, Hissar Tapia - one of the city symbols. Dinner and overnight in Plovdiv.

Day #4 Plovdiv - Rila monastery - Kyustendil

After breakfast the group will proceed to the mesmerizing "Rila monastery" - the prime tourist attraction in Bulgaria. Founded in the 10th century, it's the largest and most famous Eastern Orthodox monastery in Bulgaria and Eastern Europe. The monastery complex houses a rich collection of icons, wallpaintings, old-printed books. The monastery became a UNESCO World HEritage Sights in 1983. On this guided tour you will see the gold-plated iconostasis in the main church, the monastery museum, famous for housing Rafael's cross along the tower of nHrelyu and the residential part of the complex. Final stop for the day is Kyustendil. City with ancient history known as "Pautalia". City tour with visit to the ancient ruins well preserved in the city center. Dinner and overnight in Kyustendil.

Day #5 Kyustendil - Skopje

Following breakfast you will cross the border to Skopje - the capital of Macedonia. The history of Skopje goes back to 4000 BC, remains of Neolithic settlements have been found within the old Kale fortress that overlooks the modern city center. Sightseeing tour with visits to the Memorial House Of Mother Teresa, The Old Bazaar, The Stone Bridge, Kale Fortress, Macedonian square along more. Transfer to Matka valley for lovely tour in the area. Free time at leisure until dinner. Dinner and overnight in Skopje.

Day #6 Skopje - Ohrid

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the astonishing city of Ohrid where the famous lake Ohrid is located. In the antiquity the city was known under the ancient Greek name "Lychnidos" meaning "City of light". Lunch in a beach restaurant. Following lunch you will engage on sightseeing tour with visits to Samuil's fortress, Saint Sofia church, Bay of bones museum, Saint Clement Ohridski monastery, the ancient theatre, musseum of the Icons as well as the monument of Saint Cyril and Methodious along more. Lovelt boat cruise through the lake with photo stop at the splendid Saint John Theologian-Kaneo church built on the shores of the lake. Free time until dinner will give you the chance to dive into the city atmosphere and feel the spirit of Ohrid. Dinner and overnight in Ohrid.

Day #7 Ohrid - Bitola - Veles

Breakfast. Your final day in Macedonia will proceed with transfer and sightseeing in Bitola. One of the oldest cities on the territory of Republic of Macedonia, having been founded as Heraclea Lyncestis in the middle of the 4th century BC by Philip II of Macedon. Visit to the well preserved ancient city of "Heraclea" located just outside the city. Sightseeing tour in Bitola with visits to the Turkish market, Yeni mosque, the clock tower along more. Transfer to Veles. The area of present-day Veles has been inhabited for over a millennium. in antiquity, it was a Paionian city called Bylazora. For short periods it was part of the Second Bulgarian Empire as well as the Serbian Empire. City tour with optional visit to a local coffee shop for a refreshing drink. Dinner and overnight in Veles.

Day #8 Veles - Sofia

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Sofia. Lunch and much deserved rest will power you up for the rest of ther day. Explore Sofia on your own by taking a walk through "Vitosha" BLVD, the main and most famous street in Sofia. While in the area you can walk through the famous "Bridge Of Love". In the afternoon you will have the chance to taste the world famous Bulgarian wine with degustation in the amazing "Sofia Wine House" located in the vault of the Institute of wines. Dinner and overnight in Sofia. 

Day #9 Sofia

Breakfast. Time at leisure until departure. Hotel airport transfer is arranged for your comfort.
